This piece is inspired by a photograph by wildlife photographer Thomas Marent in his book Rainforest, a Photographic Journey. I loved his image of amazing twisted tree roots.

Full description

Tree Roots is a one of a kind, framed tapestry weaving which has been handwoven with a mixture of wools and cotton slub yarn in various shades of green, orange, yellow and brown. I have used a wrapping technique to create the effect of tree roots, and I have embroidered plant foliage in the background. It is stitched onto a piece of linen mix fabric and framed in a simple black wood box frame which measures 28 x 23 x 4cm and hangs from d rings with twine.

It will be well wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap, boxed and posted 2nd class signed for, with Royal Mail. Where possible I reuse packaging to reduce cost to the customer and to the environment.
