As an artist I find I am driven to continually look for new ideas to incorporate into my catalogue and have been thinking of enclosing flowers within layers of glass for some time. This is the result. Hope you like it.

Full description
A stained glass hanging decoration entirely handmade by me using the Tiffany copper foil technique and incorporating pressed flowers.
A new concept for me as I am forever thinking of new ideas for my glass making.
I must mention that the flowers are not pressed by me. They are real flowers just someone kindly supplied them to me ready pressed.
I wanted to try out the concept of capturing something between two thin layers of glass so that is what I have done with some pretty yellow and white flowers and a hint of purple and green foliage.
I am also a fan of coloured borders round my stained glass suncatchers and this piece really lends itself to that so I've used green with a touch of blue to frame the flower filled glass diamond.
I've framed the oute coloured edge with twisted wire for neatness and strength.
This is a diamond shape 15 cm high by 10 cm wide and it hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top.
The flowers are fully encased and airtight so shouldn't fade too fast but they will retain their colours better out of full sun.
It can hang in a window but if it would be better out the sun or will make a very pretty piece of wall art.
The flowers are pink, purplel themed. I also have a pink, coral as a separate listing. See last photos.
