Spring is in the air... or on the wall in this case, with a 3 dimensional, macrame display of daffodils, tulips and primroses.
This entire wall decoration has been knotted by hand to create an original piece of artwork .
Each petal and leaf of every flower has been individually handmade before assembling together.
The wall hanging depicts part of a spring garden border with an earthy background, a grassy edge and an array spring flowers in all their glory. It is displayed on a 14" metal ring.
All of the flowers, the leaves of the tulips and daffodils and the front 3 leaves of the primroses contain florists stub wire. This gives overall stability to the design and allows some of the flowers to be adjusted a little. Please note some of the leaves and flowers are attached to the outer ring and so there is limited movement to these parts.
For the arrangement I have used a combination of cotton bakers twine and Bobbiny recycled cotton. I have used my own original macrame flower designs to create this display.
An advantage of everlasting macrame flowers is that the colours of spring will brighten your room every day of the year, and they don't look out of place mixed with real flowers too as shown in some of the photos.
