PHOTOGRAPH - I took this photograph at a Classic Car Rally in West Sussex Summer 2022
HISTORY - The Rolls Royce Silver Cloud was manufactured from 1955 to 1966 through three revisions. This model was a Series 2 that was produced from 1959 to 1962 and had 6.2litre V8 engine replacing the previous six cylinder 4.9litre six cylinder engine giving a 0-60mph of 11 seconds which considering the weight of over two tonnes was impressive and a resulting horrible fuel efficiency of 13mpg. I maybe betraying my age but I feel that the Silver Cloud epitomises Rolls Royce - Large, imposing, luxurious.
