This was exploration of a new technique I read about on line...very pelased with it, I was a little worried the timber would crack, but as it is quite thin and glued well it has stood the test of time, nearly ten years old now... I have a few and we use them as fruit bowls, my mum and brother and sister have a few and a shop in Rochester and one in Rye sold a few... so offering these for sale, then I can make a new batch

mostly willow with other coloured woods. It is a nice way to make a bowl, glue it all together flat, then run it through a thicknesser (I made one for my wood lathe, good fun!) then cut it out using a jig saw, with the bade turned through differing angles, usually around 18 degrees... then you can glue it back together in the shape of a bowl and it has these lovely repeating patterns. Finally put it on the wood lathe and turn it into a nice bowl shape, then finish it with child safe lacquer
