A stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Bat, in rainbow colours.
I know that bats are normally dark colours but this is a fun bat, a bat out of hell and it's my bat so I can make it any colour I want.
I've used the colours of the rainbow for its wings, head and ears and I've added some little yellow bead eyes so it can see better. I've bordered the top of the wings with twisted wire to strengthen it.
It really is very cute.
This measures 15cm x 9cm.
It is a very bright and beautiful piece and will enhance any window and cast its colours across the room when the sun shines through.
The bat hangs from a silver chain which is securely attached to the top at either side by a soldered wire ring.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
