As I have covered some of the Cornish mast beast/folk beast characters from Penzance, I could not forgo making the Welsh Mari Lwyd. My interpretation of her has 6 long tatters and a number of bells, as well as a crown of holly and red berries. She visits houses in her native Wales during the festive season at Wassiling events usually between Christmas day and Twelfth night, and as well as songs being performed at the visitation, there is also the activity of "pwnco" or rude rhymes being said, but if Mari and her entourage get to make their way into the house, it will have good luck for the year.
