I just fancied making a bi plane...it started out from a piece of eucalyptus from a tree that blew down in the garden years ago. (the last piece I carved into a little owl!) this seemed just the right shape for an engine, so I turned it on the wood lathe, then built the plane around that...The hot glue gun makes it reasonably quick and easy, but still took a while to fit it all together...quite pleased as the way it hangs from the workshop ceiling on a piece of twine....

Full description
A wooden model of a bi plane, roughly 260 x 110 x 155 mm. It is a little rough and ready, for instance the glue can be seen over the joins (it was put together with a "hot glue gun", and some of the chisel lines can be seen, but to me that adds to the charm. It has been hanging in my workshop for a few months, so thought I'd offer it to a new owner... the propellor turns when flicked...possible somebody may enjoy painting it...I quite like it as it is...
