I can't resist a rainbow. I'm also rather fond of pretty windows and often photograph them when we're on holiday. So I've combined the two into this new piece. Very rich and cheerful and it should brighten up the darkest of days.
I thought of calling this Windows as rather than just being a single window with 20 panes, it could just as easily be a block of flats with different coloured curtains at each window and different lights shining through them.
It can of course be anything you want, a patchwork quilt even. The choice is yours.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I've drawn a window, framed on all sides with bright textured blue glass.
Within the frame I've placed 20 squares using all 7 colours of the rainbow.
For extra interest and effect 1 square on row 3 is dichroic glass to make a little reflective sparkly feature. Another is clear textured iridescent and a thrid collage fusing glass, clear with pretty delicate pattern.
I've used lots of different textures of glass, some streaky so this piece has a lot of interest.
The frame is a bright blue glass which really sets off the colours within it.
I am really pleased with this suncatcher. It looks super in the window with the sun casting the vibrant colours which change with the light.
This is 16 cm high by 13.25 cm wide and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
