I love experimenting with the materials I have. This is such a great way to use sheep’s fleece and waste wool products and is fun to do.

We are living in difficult times with high daily costs. If you rely on your tumble dryer to keep your laundry under control, you may find these tumble dryer balls an asset. Pop them in with your clothes and bedding and they will speed up the drying process and so save you money. They do this by absorbing some of the moisture from your laundry as well as creating a better environment for hot air to circulate by opening up spaces between the items. They also smooth out creases and soften towels. These balls can be used over and over again, are plastic free and won’t release any toxic chemicals into your dryer. When they reach the end of their useful life you can put them in your compost bin. This won’t be for a long time … I’ve been using mine for 2 years and they are as good as new.
This listing is for a set of four balls decorated with a mix of blue and green yarns. They are made mainly from waste wool products – the main body of the ball is made using the wool packing that protected a food delivery. They are decorated using scraps of wool or fleece and a needle felting technique. They have been washed in the machine which causes the ball to felt together and become firm. They won’t unravel. Tumble dryer balls come with a drawstring storage bag and this one is made from a lovely jungle fabric, full of lush plants and exotic birds.
Sets of three balls are available under separate listings for those on a tighter budget.
