Full description

UNIQUE: Handmade 'Sheep' Picture.

Gallery price: £45.00, from me: £29.50.

''Sheep'' is made completely from glass which has been fused in my kiln. There is no enamel, glass paint or any other materials used; this picture is 100% pure bullseye fusing glass!

'Sheep' started as a sheet of transparent bullseye glass. The sheep, grass, flowers, and clouds are made from coloured glass frit, coloured glass sheet, and glassline glazes. As a finishing touch I added a little touch of sparkle by using tiny bits of metallic dichroic glass in the eyes and grass.

The final stage of creating my glass picture was the firing. 'Sheep' was then laid over a curved mould and placed in my kiln and fired overnight. To successfully fuse all the elements of this picture it was fired to 1400 F.

Length: 30 cm length. Height: 10cm. Thickness: 6mm.

Curved length at back: 21 cm.

The picture is signed bottom right.

LOOKS GREAT ON A WINDOW SILL WITH THE LIGHT SHINING THROUGH.

Designed by Alison MacVicar in Stewarton, East Ayrshire, Scotland.
