'Whimsical & Curious is the creation of Staffordshire based artist Lauren a textile sculptor who crafts whimsical heirloom creatures and animals that seem to have stepped straight out of fairy tales.
With a deep commitment to sustainability and the use of recycled materials, the artist’s work is not only a celebration of creativity but also a tribute to the enduring beauty of handmade craftsmanship.'
"I am inspired by Magical, Folk Tales as well as the Vintage fabrics and materials I use.
I make quirky, odd, grungy primitive style art."

A textile art Goblin display piece,
This lucky house elf would be perfect near a front door or any where you need luck or protection.
For people who want grungy, odd, quirky art
I made this grungy style goblin head piece in fabric using my own hand drawn pattern, it is then grunged , dyed and stained,
I make my own mixes to add dimension to my pieces using a mix (including folk paint, cinnamon, walnut crystals, tea and micas)
I love to give each piece a unique character and think this rounded open mouth finishes
Gertie off perfectly!
He tops a large wand, I used a piece I found on the beach complete with lichen. I grunged and added fabric ties and added sealing wax to some of the more delicate wood.
He sits in a vintage fruit sugar bottle with a hand stamped tag,
You have been warned this old house elf bites!
Not suitable for children
