Whilst taking a break from the gardening one day last July I decided to sketch the flowers and seedheads I'd collected earlier that morning I always like to keep a posy of freshly picked flowers on the garden table. I love seed heads as much as I love flowers. The Summer was really hot and some of the flowers were struggling a little, but others were loving the suuny days especially the lavenders.
This summers day sketch was the beginning of a new linocut. After spending many days carving out the design I was ready to print. I decided on this lovely cornflower blue, and then a lovely apple green.
Later I added a vibrant raspberry pink version.
I decided on a total edition of eighty split into four colour choices, the fourth yet to be decided.

Full description
This original print contains some of my favourite flowers picked from my garden on a summers day. I sat outside with my sketchbook to capture their simple beauty. Love in a mist is one of my favourite flowers but I'm equally in love with their seed heads and those of the poppy. This sketch was the beginning of a new linocut.
A single colour limited edition linoprint, printed with Caligo oil based safe wash inks that easily clean up with soap and water avoiding the use of chemicals
A limited edition of 80
There are 4 different colours with 20 prints of each colour including this lovely blue version which would be at home in a variety of settings.

Paper size A3
Your print will be sent to you in a protective sleeve and carefully packaged using repurposed or recyclable packaging.
