Meet Mrs Pepperpot,
A textile art Hare/rabbit sculpture piece, similar to my larger pieces but in a smaller size , I 're designed the pattern to be a little more spindly and quirky, with twisty thin ears and legs
Measures approx 22 inches high
She is made using vintage fabrics and velvet,
Her head is a gorgeous soft, black velvet fabric, I made the eyes each slightly differently,
One surrounded by hand stitched gold sequins, and the other hand stitching.
It makes me think of a glittering eye piece and large lashes.
She has a glittering green shawl,
lots of slow stitching , patches, vintage buttons and embellishments
Stitched in a bright orange / red around the nose
I love the combination of bright velvets, especially her pink and mustard ears.

I love to work in my primitive folk art style, making fabrics look aged and worn and rusting metals.
I have always collected vintage and antique and I enjoy incorporating original pieces and materials into my work.
My studio is full of jars of rusted keys, bowls of mother of pearl buttons and brown suitcases packed with antique lace and fabrics
