My fused glass dichroic nuggets, made in my microwave hotpot kiln, are great fun to make but the dichroic glass I use is very expensive. I guard it like gold dust. I love opening the kiln when the fusing is complete as I never know quite what I will have made.
I really enjoy making these colour wheels which is why I now make them in several different colour

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I called this Summer Solstice in celebration of the wonderful brightness of summer light, bursts of sunlight and of course the rainbows of summer storms.
I've fused a 4cm bright red glass nugget with dichroic and rainbow highlights in my hotpot kiln and then set this inside a 16 segmented circle of wonderful rainbow colours.
The circle is framed for strength and neatness with twisted wire.
This is 13cms in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
It makes a wonderfully bright addition to any room.
It is totally individual and I love making it.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
I can never make another just the same as this, as my dichroic nuggets are unrepeatable.
The last photo shows a previous one to the same colour scheme and 8 more to the same Colour Wheel design but other colours.
