PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things that have been discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Pot discovered
Seaburn Beach, Tyne & Wear

November 2022
I visited Seaburn Beach on a bright sunny and windy day in October. Busy with families, kite flying and dogs playing in the sea this is a really popular spot. I’ve not really found the usual type of things while mud-larking in Seaburn, the beach is kept clean and there isn’t much washed up. However, away from the wide sands there’s plenty of seaweed covered rocks and large chunks of man made stone mixed with natural rocks.
Here I found some interesting bits of stone, brick and the odd piece of pot. Beside a huge bolder I saw this little piece of red pot with a little bit of cream glaze. Worn edges rounded and smoothed by the sea, this small piece makes a lovely pendant.
All I’ve done is drilled a hole and sealed with a non toxic eco friendly gloss. Although gloss the pot has absorbed the sealant so its not highly shiny, but a more subtle and satin finish.
Delivered in packaging made from recycled materials.
Measures approximately 28mm x 20mm (widest) x 4mm (widest)
Hanging on a black non leather cord 44cm plus 5cm extender.
