Hedgehog ring made from beautiful stained glass by Carole's Glass.
We used to have hedgehogs visit our garden but haven't seen any in a long time, how about you? If not how about having your own circle of 6 little hedgehogs chasing one another to hang in your window?
This suncatcher was always really popular at my craft fairs but I hadn’t made any for quite a while until recently being asked to make one for a Christmas present.
Each little hedgehog measures 6.5cms x 4cms and the overall sun catcher measures approx. 23 cms in diameter.
The hedgehogs have all been made using 3 different types of amber for the bodies and snout so 2 hedgehogs in each colour.
Each piece of glass has been cut by hand, ground, washed, foiled and soldered together before being washed again. A small black glass nugget has been used for the nose. Tinned wire has been used for the spikes and eye detail. Each hedgehog has been soldered to a heavy gauge tinned wire circle and a length of fishing line and hook attached for hanging purposes.
I will supply one good quality window hook so you can hang your suncatcher as soon as received. Please remember to wet the plunger before you push it firmly onto the window.
I normally post the following working day and this will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature.
