The pattern I used is from a French pattern book that cost 50p back in the 70's

Full description
This jumper is hand knitted in a French Aran weight wool and acrylic yarn. It is worked in two contrasting colours. The main body and sleeves are mustard and the ribs are brown. It has a deep ribbed V shaped insert at the front which is also worked in brown. It fastens on both shoulders with mustard coloured buttons.
The yarn is 50% wool 50% acrylic and is machine washable
I followed the pattern for the 9mths size and it measures 48cm round the chest, 28cm in length and the sleeve seam is 18cm.
