Carrots
Primitive style textile carrots, home decor, folk art, christmas decor, gardeners gift
A set of three fabric carrots, I love making these knarled carrots,
Each piece is hand drawn onto fabric then stitched , stuffed and hand painted.
As with all my fabric art pieces I hand paint in layers to give my work a natural folk art feel.
Each one measures approx 12 inches
My carrots are great for display and home decor, perfect for festive and Autumn displays.
Finished with a gold glittery thread at the stalk.
Each piece is unique with slight variations

I love to work in my primitive folk art style, making fabrics look aged and worn and rusting metals.
I have always collected vintage and antique and I enjoy incorporating original pieces and materials into my work.
My studio is full of jars of rusted keys, bowls of mother of pearl buttons and brown suitcases packed with antique lace and fabrics.
I hand draw patterns from my own designs, hand paint fabrics and stain textiles with my own grunging stain mixtures. These range from cinnamon, tea, coffee,walnut crystals, cloves and mica powders.
