I bought the quilt top at a vintage fair in 2018. Vintage quilt tops are a particular passion of mine - making them into quilts is something I love doing. These patchworks were intended to be quilts but never quite got there. This patchwork has finally made it to quilt perfection.

Full description
A gorgeous quilt made from vintage chintz fabrics. The patchwork was bought from a vintage fair and was just begging to be made into a quilt. The fabrics are all vintage chintz fabrics and beautifully soft.
Size 43.5 x 64" (inches).
A modern floral cotton fabric has been used for the back, along with a modern polka dot fabric for the binding.
The quilt has been machine quilted and the binding is handstitched to the back.
The wadding is 80% cotton, 20% polyester. The quilt can be machine washed at 30c and tumble dried on low.
There are a few sympathetic repairs to the patchwork, which add to it's charm.
The quilt is photographed on a double bed. It would sit beautifully on a single bed, as a bed runner or simply to snuggle under on the sofa.
The quilt is labelled as "Rescued & Restored by Quilterdown 2020" - part of a collection made during lockdown.
