Full description
This gorgeous mosaic sun catcher is made of recycled glass. The mosaic pieces are beach glass which have come from old bottles, so they have been rounded by the waves. The backing of the mosaic is the bottom of an old white bottle which we also found on the beach. We've tumbled the beach glass so it is smooth and finely frosted. The blue glass has come from old poison or medicine bottles and looks fabulous with the shiny red heart in the centre.
The sun catcher is 6 cm high and 5 cm wide. It comes with a length of transparent cord.
Our sun catchers are individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each sun catcher is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The sun catcher will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
