Due to family commitments, Plum Porridge will be closed for the whole of December this year, which means that the last day I am able to accept orders in 2024 will be FRIDAY 29TH NOVEMBER.
If I find a piece of vintage embroidered linen that is past it's best, I salvage what I can from it and incorporate it into new items to be enjoyed every day. This tray cloth was laundered before I began working with it.

Full description
I made this zipped purse using fabric salvaged from a vintage hand embroidered tray cloth, no longer useable because of marks around the edges. Cutting from the middle of the cloth gave me enough fabric for two little purses. I backed the fabric with fusible fleece to give it extra body and stability. Embroidered flowers and a green vintage button decorate the front and the embroidery continues a little onto the back where there is also a pink button. Inside is lined with a pretty cotton floral print.
Flat style with an off-white zip across the top, finished with a fabric tab. I inserted a keyring into one side seam, handy if you want to clip this safely in your bag or onto your keyring. It measures about 13cm x 9cm and could hold coins or cards or a couple of makeup essentials.
This item is ready to ship. I use second class post in order to keep postage as low as possible and will usually post same or next day as your order. Your item will be wrapped in new tissue paper whilst I will use recycled outer packaging if possible.
