One of my favourite pastimes is beach combing along our local beach. Since I was a child I've been collecting shells and pebbles and painting them or using them in my art work. This naturally progressed into making pieces for friends and family, and also decorations for my own home.

A beautiful scallop shell, hand decorated with sea themed decoupage and genuine 24ct gold leaf. The shell has been finished with several layers of hard wearing varnish and the back has been left natural and sealed with a coat of matte varnish. This dish measures 10cm long, 11cm wide and 3cm deep.
The dish is made from a natural shell so each one is unique and has it's own individual lumps, bumps and characteristics! I am careful to source my shells ethically and I acquired quite a few from my nephew who used to be a keen diver - I was given them once they were finished with as a food source!
The dish will be carefully packaged in a sturdy, hand decorated box and will be posted Royal Mail Tracked 48hrs.
The listing is for the dish only and you will receive the actual one shown in the photo. I would strongly suggest not immersing the dish in water but gently wiping it with a duster or with a damp cloth if necessary.
