Just returned from a lovely short break in beautiful sunny Lisbon and I needed to make something beautifully bright and cheerful to match my mood.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A new design in summer 2018 as I wanted a bright and colourful suncatcher to make sure the glorious summer went on and on.
It is a circle of 12 rainbow coloured glass curves round a central mutli-faceted lead crystal. This is a tricky piece to cut out, deep curves are the hardest thing so I am delighted to see how lovely it is now it is complete.
I've used lots of different textures as well as colours so this has movement and vibrancy as well as an extra sparkle from the central crystal.
.
The suncatcher is 13cm in diameter and hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached by soldered little ring to the top.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use different variations of colour and textures of glass.
This really is beautifully bright and will surely cast some lovely colours into the room when the light catches it.
