Full description
This handmade Heart Pendant is made using Sterling Silver sheet and wire.
To make the pendant I first made the rectangle piece which is made in two halves. The top piece has the heart balloon carefully cut out of the middle of the silver to create the well for the resin to sit in. Once Ive filed and sanded the top then its soldered to the back plate. This is then cleaned and filed again. The circle at the top was then made using thick wire and finally the arc was made before soldering all the components together.
To house the chain I have soldered a hand made bail to the back of the rectangle so that it is hidden and doesnt interfere with overall design of the pendant.
It measures approx 38 mm in length and 22 mm at its widest point and comes complete on a 18 inch sterling silver chain.
The heart is filled with orange resin and sits slightly proud of the silver and was inspired by a piece of work by Banksy depicting a heart shaped balloon floating away from a little girl, a piece I really love.
All my jewellery comes in a hand decorated box and will be sent 2nd class signed for.
