I have been lucky enough to visit Lindisfarne, which is a magical place, especially St. Cuthbert's island with all its history. When the tide rises, the island becomes separated from the main Holy Island, making it a solitary island which is most beautiful & ethereal.

Full description
This atmospheric picture of the spiritual & historic St Cuthbert's Island, just off magical Lindisfarne in Northumberland has been created using various wools in the needle felting technique. The island of St Cuthbert's has been made using re-cycled sari silks, giving it a deep mixture of colour and the surrounding sea, land & sky have been made with rich merino wool. The picture measures 17cm x 17 cm & has then been framed with white mounting board to create a finished piece of art measuring 21cm x 21 cm. The back of the piece has been covered with a natural linen & the picture can be hung as it is or framed in a frame of your own choice.
