I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I've recently discovered crocheting with chunky T-shirt yarn and I'm loving making baskets and containers with it. I love how you can clearly see every stitch that went into creating an item and it's a nice change to make something in 3D that's not a toy!

Full description
A crocheted round bowl / small basket, made from a super chunky recycled T-shirt yarn. The yarn is 90% cotton and its production helps tackle the waste produced by the fashion industry by recyling it into new textile yarn. The whole recycling process is dye- and water-free.
The bowl is made using a decorative slant stitch which gives it a woven look, with a slip stitch top edging to help it keep its shape. The T-shirt yarn gives great definition to the crochet stitches used to create it.
Items made from T-shirt yarn are all one-offs, the yarn thickness is variable and because shades are created by blending recycled fabric, each colour batch also varies, making each item created truly unique. The yarn used for this bowl is in Mottled Sandstone, a very pale beige / natural shade which is a lovely, soft, neutral colour that will complement any colour scheme.
The gently rounded sides and textured stitches give this bowl a strong visual and tactile appeal in addition to its many possible uses around the house.
Measurements: Approx.8cm tall, 12cm wide at base, 15cm at widest point,10.5cm wide at top inner edge.
Care instructions: I recommend a gentle surface clean with a damp cloth to remove dust but item may be carefully washed by hand at 30C, reshape whilst damp. Do not bleach; Do not iron; Do not tumble dry.
If used to display a houseplant, the plant must be in a separate pot with a saucer, otherwise the surface it is standing on may suffer water damage.
