A lovely handmade salad bowl and servers set comprising a wheel thrown stoneware serving bowl and a pair of handcarved wood serving utensils. The bowl outside surface is decorated in a attractive blue pattern, the inside being plain white to high light the colouration of the contents. The bowl being coated in a gloss glaze.
The bowl dimensions are 250mm diameter x 80mm tall. The base of this dish is inscribed with my makers mark.
The dish is complemented by a pair of hand carved stubby serving utensils made out of hard beech wood. The servers are gently curved and tapered toward the prongs and are nicely balanced to sit comfortable in the hand. Finished with multiple coats of food safe oil providing a durable deep satin finish. All the edges are rounded and sanded to provide a very smooth, tactile finish. Dimensions approximately 180 x 90 (max) x 10 mm thick.
To care for the set, the dish has been fired at hight temperature making it suitable for dishwashers, however i would recommend hand washing. Do not immerse the servers in water, but wipe clean with a damp cloth and recoat occasionally with food safe oil or olive oil.
