Full description
A lovely salad bowl and servers set comprising a wheel thrown terracotta bowl and two beech wood salad servers. The terracotta bowl has been decorated in a light blue underglaze, the external surface has then been cut through exposing the terracotta clay body before coating in a satin glaze. The bowl dimensions are 260mm diameter x 115mm tall. The base of this bowl is inscribed with my makers mark.
The bowl is complemented by a pair of hand carved serving utensils made out of hard beech wood finished with multiple coats of food safe oil providing a deep satin finish. The servers are gently tapered toward the heads and are nicely balanced to sit comfortable in the hand. All the edges are rounded, the surfaces sanded to a very smooth, tactile finish.
Dimensions approximately 280 x 80 (max) x 10 mm thick.
To care for the set the bowl should be hand washed. The servers should not be immersed in water but wiped clean with a damp cloth, recoat occasionally with food safe oil or olive oil.
