This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Sweet Pea, such a pretty flower.
It is a very pretty floral design. I've used a mix of purple, mauve and pink glass to make the flowers and a bright clear green for leaves and sepals. The stalk is made from twisted wire as are the little tendrils.
There are 23 individually cut, foiled and soldered pieces of glass in the flower.
The suncatcher hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top. It is approximately 15cm x 12cm excluding the chain.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece even when making the same pattern.
It will make a lovely present for anyone. It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it shines and catches the light and welcomes in the sunshine.
