Full description
This is a unique original small abstract drawing, based on a series of facets or geometric shapes. The facets are drawn over a random grid of lines with edges overlapping and aligning, which gives an underlying structure to the design which at a first glance may not be apparent. Each facet is shaded to give an illusion of depth and direction and the effect of layers, which on looking closer are seen to be inconsistent. The colours used were exactly the same selection which I had just used to create a realistic drawing of tree bark but in this abstract design the effect is totally different!
Using artist-quality coloured pencils on heavy weight paper for a high-quality professional finish, the picture is presented in an off-white / pale cream colour mount, with backing board and protected in a clear cellophane bag. Measuring (with mount) 8” wide by 10” tall (image size 5” by 7”) - that’s approximately 20 by 25 (12 by 18) in cm - it will fit a readily-available standard-size frame. If you don't have space to display a large work of art, you can still own an original artwork with this small drawing.
