I found this pattern in a magazine . The French yarn it is worked in is lovely to work with.

Full description
This lovely jacket is hand knitted in an Aran weight yarn. It is worked in garter stitch in two contrasting colours - mustard and dark brown. It is double breasted and fastens with six mother of pearl like buttons. The hood is folded back at the top giving it a shawl like look at the neck.
The yarn is 50% wool 50% acrylic and is machine washable.
The pattern size is for a 6 month old baby and it measures 52cm round the chest, 28cm long and 17cm sleeve length.
