I have been inspired by my fellow Folksy sellers to try an ACEO format. And why not in ceramic? I just love this combination of glazes and this seems an ideal application for it!

Full description

This ceramic ACEO has been handmade from stoneware clay and is decorated with an abstract landscape design, achieved from the mixing of 2 glazes which react and run to create a unique pattern.

The clay is shaped to allow for shrinkage, fired to 1060 degrees, masked to keep the sides and back clean and dipped in two different glazes before firing again at 1235 degrees. The block is propped at an angle during the second firing to ensure the glazes run.

2.5x3.5x0.5 inches to give an attractive chunky look like a small canvas.

Notes on photographs:

This listing is for the one on the right in the photos.

Shown propped against a small block which is not included.

Designed by Jenny Jones in Letchworth Garden City
