Leather weekend bag, Tan leather carpet bag, Vintage style Mary Poppins bag
I have made this large weekend bag from a large aniline leather hide, ( marks easily and will look old before its time, but will gain a beautiful patina ), every piece is staken from the same hide so it all matches. The carpet bag features a semi solid bag base with bag feet, a twist bag lock on the front, stitched and riveted carry handles and a detachable shoulder strap.
Inside this Mary Poppins style carpet bag you will find it fully lined in mulberry print linen in natural and mustard featuring a large zip pocket, 2 slip pockets, a key clip and D rings for your detachable strap.
All bag hardware is in antique brass finish.
Measurements approx 36 cm ( 14" ) tall x 48 cm ( 19") across the base x 23 cm ( 9" ) deep base, as this bag has a spring frame, it will open out to 41 cm ( 16" )x 20 cm ( 8" ). The leather handles are approx. 41 cm long. The detachable strap is approx. 80 cm long but can be made longer.
