Happy shopping!
I love all sorts of needlework, Bargello and Florentine stitches have always attracted me because of the mesmerising colours and the historical nature of the designs.
It's quick and theraputic to stitch and so is a great embroidery to have handy for quite times. Even Better, no need for a frame.

Full description
The second in a new range of exciting Bargello Design kits from Animal Fayre Designs.
The name Bargello originates from a series of chairs found in the Bargello palace in Florence, which have a "flame stitch" pattern. It is thought that the embroidery style actually originates in Eastern Europe, where all sorts of Geometric designs were created.
It was a craze in the 1970's to stitch only the flame patterns in extraordinary colour combinations.
Quite mesmerising patterns can be created and repeated over again. With different patterns forming over a sequence of colour changes.
Traditional designs are very colourful, and use many hues of one colour, which produces intricate shading effects. It's fun to use a few repeating shapes to represent trees or flowers. Different shapes can be seen depending on how you look!
Bargello Ribbons uses a rich colour theme in a curving geometric pattern. This colourway suggest a curving ribbon format.
Sewn over several threads, Bargello Embroidery builds quickly using a simple straight stitch. Rocaille beads are added at the end for extra sparkle.
This design can be a cushion, bag front or picture.
