This is based on a painted image in my portfolio re-imagined as a Riso print- I enjoyed the challenge of converting the original to less colours and playing with the overlays of colour.

The Cat That Got The Cream - quirky cat illustration-unframed A4 Riso print by Jo Brown on thick card.
Fun happy riso print based on an original painting in my professional illustration portfolio.
Riso printing is an eco friendly print process using stencils (made from banana leaves!) each colour is printed separately and can slightly misregister, which results in a unique textured print with variations as a natural consequence of the process.
I then add hand drawn elements to each individual print, in Luminance coloured pencil, and a signature within the image, making each print unique.
This UNFRAMED A4 print on sturdy 300gsm off-white recycled paper, will fit regular size frames or poster hangers. The print will be sent in a slim cardboard box for protection.
The Cat That Got The Cream- designed in Seaford by me, and printed at Wild Press, Glasgow, a Community Interest Company which uses 100% of its profits to tackle loneliness and isolation for people with marginalised gender identities.
Please note due to different monitors lighting etc, actual colours may vary from what you see on screen - but are fluorescent pink, yellow (which overlap to make orange) and blue.
