Solid silver needle pin brooch.
This needle brooch pin makes perfect detailing for a coat lapel, blouse or jumper!
Handmade in my studio in York and beautifully hallmarked in deep laser at The Sheffield Assay Office.
I very mindfully over time hand forged the perfect needle in sterling silver and had my finished design cast into solid sterling silver, and 9ct gold.
Once filed and neatened I emery up the needle in stages before soldering a sterling silver brooch push pin to one side. I then give it all a high polish and using my pendant drill satinise the body of the needle. I totally love this finish.
The needle design works so well as a brooch. The design is simple and striking, stylish and contemporary. Helped by the gorgeous bonus of hallmarking and lovely satin finish.
Perfect gift for a seamstress, quilter, embroiderer...
The needle measures 5.5cm in length.
It comes displayed on a card, made from a vintage French embroidery
