I wanted to make something that both men and women could wear. Men can be difficult to buy for so I decided to make cowls that my husband would want to wear. I'm happy to say that this has his approval and I love it too!

Full description
A soft and drapey cowl hand woven in pale blues with a coral striped pattern in the warp. The blue weft yarn ranges from the natural wool colour to grey to light blue and then to mid blue creating a beautiful and soft variation in the colour. It is very much like the sky with its varied colour. The warp (running along the length of the cloth) is made up of stripes of pale blue and narrow stripes of coral and grey. The focal point is the embroidery design of dandelion seeds floating on the breeze which has been hand stitched onto grey essex linen and wrapped around the cowl. The woven scarf has a subtle sparkle from silver stellina that is soft and non scratchy.
The yarn fibres are a mix of wool, merino and alpaca with a touch of nylon and silver stellina. Alpaca is actually warmer than wool so blending them in the weave makes it super cosy. perfect for the cooler months this unisex cowl would make a lovely gift or a nice treat for yourself
