I wanted to play with a traditional patchwork design, using modern prints, to make a quilt that would fit well with more than one type of decor.

Full description
Made from beautifully soft, silky Art Gallery cotton prints. I designed and made this 175cm (69") square quilt to feature in issue 96 of 'Love Patchwork & Quilting' magazine.
The prints add a modern edge to traditionally styled patchwork. The cream background print features triangles in metallic gold. I've used two shades of green and two shades of pink to create the pattern across the quilt top.
Inside the quilt is a warm, breathable layer of Hobbs 80% cotton/20% polyester wadding. The light grey cotton on the back of the quilt features text written by the fabric designer describing her design process. Around the edge of the quilt I have attached a double layer binding made from the Fuchsia pink fabric featured in the quilt top.
The quilting was expertly stitched by Trudi Wood on her long-arm quilting machine.
Machine washable on a gentle cycle.
Designed and made in my pet-free, smoke-free home.
