Hello and welcome to DArTworld, my world of colour, reality and imagination in cards and prints. The subjects vary from the ancient and classical world right up to date but the thing that they have in common is the use of vibrant colour and the visual twist that I like to give my images. I hope you will love them.

Please also visit my second shop called Beaded Beasties, mixed media box frames of beaded dragonflies and other creatures/themes.

My love of history and the fascinating chicken wire sculptures by Kendra Haste at the Tower of London remembering when it was used as a Royal Menagerie.

Full description

My Neon Polar digital print was created from my original photograph of a chicken wire sculpture by Kendra Haste of a polar bear in the Tower of London.

The Tower was used as a Royal Menagerie for six centuries to house animals given as gifts to various monarchs. The polar bear was give to Henry III in 1252 by the King of Norway. The bear was allowed to swim in the River Thames to bathe and catch its own food but tethered by a 'stout cord'!

I love the drama created between the dark background and the ice blue bear.

The print can be produced in three sizes - A3, A4 and A5 on 270gsm paper with a gloss finish. It will be despatched in either a stiff-backed envelope or rolled in a postal tube.

Designed by Derrick Armitage in Midlothian
