Full description

We love old blue beach pottery, especially this type where the transfer ink flows under the glaze, producing a slightly blurred effect. This effect was initially accidental, but became much valued, as long as the blurring didn't destroy the image. This pendant shows a piece of a vine - a whole leaf and a part leaf. It has signs of wear that are typical of beach pottery pendants, and we have tumbled it so it is perfectly clean and the edges are smooth. All the metal in this pendant is sterling silver.

The pendant is 3 cm high, 3 cm wide and 4 mm thick. It comes on a 50 cm (approx. 20 inches) fine sterling silver trace chain. If you would prefer a shorter chain please let us know the length you would like.

Our jewellery is individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of pottery is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.

The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
