Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I've recently discovered crocheting with chunky T-shirt yarn and I'm loving making baskets and containers with it. I love how you can clearly see every stitch that went into creating an item and it's a nice change to make something in 3D that's not a toy!
Designing and making this bowl took me right back to pottery classes at school using coils of clay to make little pots and bowls, this way is much less messy!

Full description
A cute little crocheted bowl with rounded sides in an olive green shade made with a super chunky T-shirt yarn. The yarn is 90% cotton and its production helps tackle the waste produced by the fashion industry by recyling it into new textile yarn. The whole recycling process is dye- and water-free. The bowl is sturdy yet flexible and keeps its shape. The T-shirt yarn gives great definition to the crochet stitches used to create it.
It's just the right size to keep your car keys safe, or a useful little pot on your desk to keep paperclips in, or maybe display an airplant. You could even use it as a bowl to hold a few sweets, ready for when you need a little treat!
No two bowls of this design will be exactly alike although they will be very similar to the one pictured. See also a separate lisiting for the same style bowl made out of Terracotta recycled braided cotton cord shown in some of these photos.
Measurements: Approximately 12cm diameter at the bottom with an opening in the top of 8cm, and 7cm in height.
Care instructions: I recommend a gentle surface clean with a damp cloth to remove dust but item may be carefully washed by hand at 30C, reshape whilst damp. Do not bleach; Do not iron; Do not tumble dry.
