Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I've recently discovered crocheting with chunky macrame cord and I'm loving making baskets and containers with it. It's hard work crocheting with thick braided cord but the results are worth it. I love how you can clearly see every stitch that went into creating an item and it's great to make something in 3D that's not a toy!

Full description
A beautifully tactile oval crocheted basket in silver grey, made with a high quality recycled cotton braided cord which has a polyester core. The item is very sturdy and keeps its shape and the cord gives great definition to the crochet stitches used to create it.
It's a great way to display one or two small houseplants, or is useful storage in the bathroom, nursery, or workroom. Also, just the right size to store TV remotes or chargers so that you can find them when you want them! The neutral colour means that it will blend in well with any colour scheme.
Measurements: Approximately 11cm tall, 19cm in length, and 12cm across at its widest point.
Care instructions: I recommend a gentle surface clean with a damp cloth to remove dust but item may be carefully washed by hand at 30C, reshape whilst damp. Do not bleach; Do not iron; Do not tumble dry.
