Full description
An alternative to the more traditional Gladioli this is my interpretation of Gladiolus Murielae which has beautiful delicate hanging white flowers with a splash of maroon and yellow inside. Three flowers are in full bloom and you can see the stigma and stamens inside. A further flower has not yet opened and at the very top of the arrangement is the start of the next bud still green with new growth.
Rising up from the base are 4 long leaves reaching towards the blooms.
This is a single stem arrangement which is large enough and beautiful enough to stand alone in a vase and unlike cut flowers this one will always be in bloom.
Each petal of every flower has been knotted by hand individually as have all the leaves. I have used bobbiny 100% recycled cotton for the flowers and woolly what knot 100% recycled cotton for the stem and leaves.Tto add the detail inside the petals I used a very watered down acrylic paint.
Florists wire runs throughout the flower which adds strength and allows for slight manipulation to your desired posiition.
The measurements are as follows: height 56cm, width 30cm and depth 20cm.
