Working with variegated yarn is always a surprise as the colours change and the effect emerges. I particularly liked the fair isle effect of this versatile cardigan.

Full description
This pretty cardigan is hand knitted in a variegated synthetic yarn which imitates fair isle when finished. It has shell patterned hems on the body and sleeves and garter stitch bands at the front and neck edge. It fastens with three buttons at the top.
The yarn is 55% nylon 45% acrylic and has shades of purple, turquoise and white.
It is machine washable at 40 degrees.
The pattern size is for a 6-12mth old baby and the measurements are chest 46cm, length 26cm and sleeve 18cm.
