My daughter was studying and working in the Norwegian Arctic for the past couple of years and was regularly sending me photos of the glorious Northern Lights. Larvikite comes from Norway and is sometimes known as Norwegian moonstone, or Black moonstone, and it seemed right to pair them with the clear/white version of moonstone, "Rainbow" moonstone (which also has blue flashes) as a tribute to those Northern Lights.
In the language of crystal healing Larvikite is associated with the earth, so a good stone for grounding or repelling negative energies, and moonstone is a stone of new beginnings.

Classic necklace in rounded rectangular larvikite beads interspersed with sterling silver spacer beads and groups of facetted rainbow moonstone. 44cm long, so it sits at the throat. Finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp. A real "statement" piece that will look striking both when seen online and in person!
I came across these striking Larvikite stones a few years ago when I was visiting a supplier. I'd never seen them before but loved the blue and silver flashes in them which take them from classic neutral to something much more interesting. I thought they matched well with the facetted moonstones which also have beautiful blue flashes in them.
