Carreg Cariad is a Welsh translation of stone of love / the love of stone.
Beautiful arrays of ethically sourced natural Gemstones that Mother Nature has created, cultured & freshwater Pearls of all types, made into unique pieces of jewellery headpieces and body adornments with that WoW factor. All of my creations are made in my little workshop studio within my home. As I’m a perfectionist, attention to detail is the absolute key; I put a lot of time, effort and care when creating my pieces which are mostly one of a kind that will guarantee to turn heads or be the talk of the town.

I have lots of Indian shibori silks in an array of beautiful colours and had the white and black solid colours and I’ve wanted to make a swan brooch for awhile. One day earlier last year I sat down and planned my swan and really took my time with it. Thinking up which gemstones to use to the colour of the seed beads took some planning. I got down to start the actual piece and as I’ve taken my time with them,it actually took me around 4 days to complete one. These are the results. I absolutely adored making them. I do plan to make other feathered friends very soon.

Full description
A truly elegant beaded swan brooch featuring an array of pearls, topaz, black spinel, Swarovski and Indian shibori silk.
The brooch has been intricately hand sewn over 4 days to complete each swan.
The gemstones I’ve used are black Spinel, white Topaz, various cultured Pearls, Swarovski crystals and garnets for the black swan.
The brooch is approximately 10 inches from tail to head, 7 inches from body to head.
This will arrive to you in a handmade, branded velvet pouch which is also made by me!
All components used are free from lead and nickel.
I have one of each colour available. Please let me know which colour you’d like.
