Seurat inspired me with his pointillism and I thought it would be cool to add an edgyness to this by drawing a British military issued gas mask from the 1980s.
These were not fun to wear but essential during a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical attack.
The piece took a little time to complete but turned out brilliantly. Seurat pioneered the use of dots or points to add stronger colour and a varied perspective of his art. He went on to lead the Pointillism movement.

Full description
An A3 sized pen creation of a British service issued respirator used during the Cold War. The drawing is pen on paper and is conducted with dots in the style of Seurat and pointillism. There are no straight lines on the drawing, the lines have been made by using dots.
A respirator is a grand name for what you probably know as a gas mask.
The respirator came in it’s own special pouch and it was never a good idea to keep anything in there other than the gas mask.
The paper used is of the highest quality and it will be posted in a hard mail tube with smudge protection and tissue paper.
