I used one of these weapons in my military career. This isnt really the true inspiration for painting it although I did enjoy creating it as part of a series.
The series is as follows:

Full description
This is a painting of a pistol and was inspired by Rene Magritte’s painting called “This is not a pipe”.
It is painted in acrylic and has Russian words written on it.
It’s a pretty good copy of a Sig Sauer p226 pistol.
10x8 inches on stiff Winsor and Newton artists’ canvas.
