In the interests of sustainability, I will use recycled packaging when appropriate.

I am intrigued and entertained by the argument (largely a cross border one between Cornwall and Devon) over when to put the jam on the scone!

Full description

An A4 size original gouache painting. Entitled "Jam First", this is a celebration of the art of the Cornish cream tea, where you must always put the jam on the scone before the cream! This painting would make an ideal addition to a café decor, either in Cornwall or elsewhere.

Text in the painting alludes to the summer traffic conditions in Cornwall, that can also reult in a jam of a different kind. There is also underlying abstracted text and symbols in wax.

The painting measures 290 mm x 220 mm on hot pressed (smooth) 300 gsm Aquafine watercolour paper.

The painting is supplied unmounted and unframed.

The painting is cellophane wrapped.

The painting will be mailed in a reinforced envelope by Royal Mail first class "signed for" delivery.

Actual colours may vary slightly from the digital image shown on your screen

I do not charge postage for UK based customers.

Copyright of original paintings and all prints and cards produced from the originals by the artist, remains with the artist. The artist retains the right to produce prints of original artwork after sale.
